First Aid Qualifications
This one day course is suitable for those with an interest or wanting to develop their first aid skills, the course will cover managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, external bleeding, shock and minor injuries, but is not suitable as a qualification to act as a first aider in the workplace
More aimed at those responsible for organising sporting or outdoor events, this 2 day course covers the normal emergency situations like cardiac arrest, but also covers specific injuries and stations you may see from activities such as rugby, football, running etc.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is something that everyone should be taught; and over this half day course, learners can have the opportunity to practice with real manikins, simulation AED's and choking vests

This comprehensive 3 day course covers the emergency actions required, and a wider range of illnesses and injuries that could occur in the workplace such as asthma, anaphylaxis, fractures etc.

This one day course covers those emergency situations specifically with children, such as choking, or where they stop breathing. Particularly suitable for new parents, grandparents or relatives looking after children for example. This qualification is not suitable for those acting as the sole paediatric first aider in early years settings like nurseries, but could be particularly useful for support or other staff to help in an emergency.
This two day / 12-hour Paediatric first aid course meets the requirements for those working in childcare, nurseries or childminding for example and covers the emergency situations that could arise with children, as well as a wider range of illnesses such as meningitis, febrile convulsions
This qualification is suitable for and meets the minimum requirements for Childminding and Daycare for children under age 12 as stipulated by the DHSSPS & HSC Early Years Teams
Over an extended day, you could achieve both the Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, and the Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid where the common topics across both qualifications are assessed and shared, and paediatric / child specific topics are added on and assessed (i.e. Child & Infant CPR)
Over extended 3 days, you could achieve both the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work, and the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid where the common topics across both qualifications are shared, taught and assessed together; the additional time required for paediatric specific elements such as CPR, Childhood Illnesses etc can be delivered over an short extended timeframe. Achieving two qualifications in 3 (long) days.
