The qualification meets grade descriptor C of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine framework, and on completion of the qualification, learners will be eligible to apply to the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care for Level 3 Membership.

The course is an intensive course that requires 6 hours guided learning, along with an additional 24 hours tutor contact in the classroom. This is usually run over 4 days, with the assessments run on the final afternoon; but we are able to tailor the course to suit individual or group requirements such as evening and weekend courses.

 

Requalification Requirements

This qualification is valid for 3 years. Once the qualification has expired, or due to expire the learner is required to re undertake the course again in order to maintain the qualification. Requalification training and assessment must be conducted in a minimum of 20 contact hours.

Learner ID Requirements

Learners are required to produce photographic identification which will be validated by the Trainer / Assessor and recorded on the course documentation. Trainers / Assessors have a responsibility to ensure learners undertaking the qualification are indeed the person they are claiming to be.

Learners should also provide their Unique Learner Number (ULN) if they have one.
