Basic Life Support & Anaphylaxis (Level 2)

The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and skills to manage casualties with anaphylaxis.

Anaphylaxis is a potentially life threatening condition and prompt action in its recognition and management is essential to preserve life.

This course provides the underpinning knowledge and appropriate skills to manage casualties and ultimately if required to perform effective basic life support until emergency assistance can arrive.

CPR & AED (Level 2)

The Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation skills course has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to administer basic life support and use an AED in an emergency. Early defibrillation and CPR are vital in the chain of survival following a cardiac arrest.

This course is able to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to operate the AED safely. The training is an ideal course for first aiders wishing to upgrade their skills or learners who wish to learn to operate these lifesaving devices.

A one-day practical course focusing on first response skills – the skills required to deal with a life-threatening incident when an experienced first aider is not available. The course involves plenty of hands-on practice including outdoor scenarios.

REC – Remote Emergency Care (Level 2)

A two day course that is recognised by the MLTUK, BCU, RYA and other outdoor governing bodies.

On this course we focus on dealing with incidents far from medical help with the minimal equipment you would carry while participating in or leading outdoor activities. Again the emphasis is on practical skills with plenty of hands-on practice including lots of outdoor scenarios. This course can be tailored to the requirements of special interest groups, for example climbers, mountain leaders, paddlesports instructors or divemasters.

The qualification is for the purposes of the  Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982. however is is also highly relevant for a wide range of first aid situations.

FAWr – First Aid at Work Refresher (Level 3)

This is the same qualification that provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in higher risk workplace environments or workplaces with a larger number of employees, however it is carried out in a shorter space of time (2 days)

It contains the same content, and syllabus; but as already experienced first aiders, it will allow you to practice those lifesaving skills and refresh your first aid knowledge.

eFAW – Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 2)

This Qualification provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low risk workplace environments or workplaces with a low number of employees, and is carried out over 1 day (6 hours)

The qualification is for the purposes of the  Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982. however is is also highly relevant for a wide range of first aid situations.
