Regulated Qualifications

We work with a number of different Awarding Organisations to offer Ofqual regulated qualifications from the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), specialising in Pre-Hospital Care and First Aid, but offering a range of qualifications across various sectors to meet the growing needs and demands from Learners.

Training v Qualifications

There are four regulators for Regulated Qualifications in the UK, these are Ofqual (England), Qualifications Wales (Wales), CCEA (Northern Ireland) and SQA (Scotland) – all of whom have statatory powers under various aspects of legislation. Becuase of the strength of regulation behind the qualifications that they recognise and the reputation of these regulators, qualifications endorsed by any of these regulators are generally accepted worldwide. These are the same regulators that oversee our GCSE and A-Level Qualifications that are used for entry into University Education.

Training on the otherhand does not have the same amount of regulation or assessment; to undertake a training course – you simply have to show up; standards and content vary and these types of sessions are fine if you want to learn how to do something; however if it’s something you want to rely on for employment or a job; it’s generally a Qualification you should be aiming for….

Qualifications are not simply a turn up and pass…… you need to prove that you are competent in the areas on which you are being assessed. You tutor will generally prepare you for the assessment and provide feedback and coaching prior to an assessment.

During the Assessment, you will be assessed performing a skill; which will result in a pass or refer scenario with feedback from your assessor. On occasions the result is not sometimes what you expect; however you will be provided with clear feedback from your assessor where the assessment criteria were not met, and guidance on how to improve and prepare better for the next time round.

e-Portfolio

In an attempt to reduce paper, and embrace technology; we have our own online portfolio platform that ustilises Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and Teams to collaborate with your fellow learners and your facilitators.

The platofrm encompases Live Video and Calling facilities, as well as messaging; combined with features that facilitators will use such as Assignments and Quizes to help with any learning and study.

Learners get their own account, which comes with an online version of Microsoft Office, an email address, as well as access to Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint etc all as part of their course or qualification registration.

Ask us more about the platform, or ask for a demo!
